How to apply
Four simple steps to join GHI.
Everything happens online through the GHI Portal. The whole process takes only a few minutes when your documents are ready.
Open the application
Go to the application page in the GHI Portal and start a new application.
Select your programme
Review the available programmes carefully and choose the one that aligns with your academic background and career goals.
Submit your application
Complete the online form and upload all required documents, including academic transcripts, certificates and identification documents.
Pay & wait for a response
Pay the non-refundable registration fee of UGX 50,000 via Mobile Money. You will receive payment guidance after you submit.
Entry requirements
Are you eligible?
Choose the level that matches your results. Each programme page lists its own careers and progression.
Diploma programmes · 3 years
- UACE with at least one (1) Principal Pass in Biology and two (2) subsidiary passes in Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics.
- Or UCE with at least five (5) passes including English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Public Health Dentistry, Dental Laboratory Technology, Clinical & Community Nutrition and Environmental Health Sciences.
Certificate programmes · 2 years
- UCE passes in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and English.
Nursing & Midwifery, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Technology, Environmental Health Sciences and Medical Records & Informatics.

Registration fee
UGX 50,000
Non-refundable. Paid via Mobile Money after you submit your application — payment guidance is shown on screen. Tuition and other fees are paid to the institute’s bank account, never in cash.
